Garden update and spring ideas

Spring is right around the corner here in Florida, when it's not 40 degrees, it feels like it's actually here!
The mango tree outside our house is blooming, we'll have mangos soon!

(yes I am breaking out good old photoshop. Once upon a time (in college 5 years ago) photoshop was my hobby, so fun to play around in it again!)

Don't be jealous those of you who are still enjoying winter, that means the hot, sticky, sweltering summer is right after that for us!
I am so wishing it would stay this temperature until June, it would be amazing! But I am enjoying it while it's here.

This is the first spring ever that we've had a garden.
It's doing so well!

Our broccoli are gigantic, we have 5 plants that have all flowered and we are waiting to harvest, we always have cherry tomatoes, and we're hoping soon to have some peppers and garlic soon.
We've added carrots, onions, sweet potatoes, summer squash, rosemary, basil and cucumbers now.
Although something is seriously munching on our poor cucumbers. I made a concoction of dish soap, water and peppermint essential oil and sprayed it on everything and I think it is keeping the bugs away, but it's too early to tell.

My husband finished Isabella's table and chair set. It is so cute!!
Isabella really likes it and there are little wood pieces left over that she has named as her new blocks.

This week is promising to be pretty busy, but that's good
Tomorrow's agenda is baking homemade organic bread!!
If I remember, I'll post the recipe that we use.

Have also been putting ideas together for spring! I won't mention anything right now until I get it all nailed down, don't want to spoil anything if it doesn't work out!

Off to watch a movie with my awesome husband :)

I am so jealous of your garden. I miss mine and want winter to be OVER for it to start doing well again. I love that she is using the scrap wood as blocks. Too cute!
