Betsy has been one of my biggest inspirations ever since the day I found her online. Not only do my husband and I faithfully use her products, and continue to be in love with them use after use, I have grown to love her so much as a person as well. Our friendship has blossomed over a rather short time period online, and I feel she would be one of my very best friends if we were neighbors. The way her and her family choose to live their lives is very touching to me, and her dreams for this world speak to my soul.
Since she has this precious new life in her arms right now, I wanted to share something related to this. But I do not have any children of my own, so in that area I cannot speak from experience. But what I do have, is the experience of a very very special bond. That is of mother and daughter. I lost my mother to breast cancer in 2008 at the ripe age of 25. It has been a defining moment in my life. Something that changed me forever. But in a good way. My mother was my best friend, my soul mate. Honestly, she was. She was the greatest teacher Ive ever known, and the kindest soul. This post is not meant to be about the sadness of losing her, but rather the cherishing of that bond that a mother and daughter can have. I only wish that everyone in this world could know that bond that I had with her, and have the same thing with their mothers.
So, I guess from a daughter's perspective, this post is a shout out to all young mothers out there, or really to any mother. You can be the difference in your childs life. You hold the seed that becomes planted in your children's heart. You have the magical touch to build them up or bring them down, just with your words and your heart. If it were not for the amount of love my mother showed me throughout my life, I would be a much different 28 year old. It is that very thing that has carried me through these past 3 years without her being here, her love. Never dies. And that bond will stay with me for the rest of my life.
I do understand that so many people do not have this in their lives from their mother. This is sooooo not meant to make anyone feel bad for what they may have in their own lives with there mother. It is more to the ones that are now in that position with their own children. Always know that the love you show today, will remain with them long after you are gone. It is the most special bond you can have, in my own humble opinion. That bond for me, is the reason I do everything I do. It is my catalyst in this world.
Big big love to Betsy and her growing precious family!!! Love these guys!
Peace and Love,

I always have so much to learn from Laura. I read her post at 2am in the morning when Ellie and I hadn't slept, I was sick, and Bella had a hard day, and realized.... it was all worth it, and I had to give more because this is what matters. Laura is such a wise soul and has a way with feelings and words that she captures so nicely. She's an amazing photographer, designer, painter, and all around lovely lady. We "met" online over a year ago and have created such a great friendship, we're hoping to eventually meet up sometime soon. Her and her husband are in the midst of putting an offer on their first house; she has an incredible sale going on in her etsy shop, go check out the deals and help her reach her dreams of owning a house!
Thank you Laura!! xo
